Licensed Behavior Specialist, Special Education Teacher, Reading Specialist
Reading struggles are rarely just about reading. Frustration, avoidance, and shaken confidence travel with them, and a plan that addresses only the academics usually stalls. That's why Hill Education Services looks at every learner through a dual lens: the reading specialist's, grounded in the science of how literacy skills are built, and behavior-informed support, focused on communication, motivation, and engagement.
Learners are equal contributors, introduced to strategies that support their reading, comprehension, critical thinking, self-efficacy, and, most importantly, self-confidence. Families are partners too: from understanding an IEP to feeling confident in meetings, Susan helps parents feel as capable in the process as their learners become in the classroom.

I spent more than 15 years in special education and behavior analysis, providing ABA therapy and behavioral support to students throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties. During Covid, working closely with students, I saw just how critical literacy skills are, and how many students needed more support than they were getting. So I went back to school, earned my reading specialist degree at Saint Joseph's University, and fell in love with the field.
I founded Hill Education Services, a program of Hill Therapy Services, to bring both halves of my training together: helping students with reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking, and supporting their families and educators along the way, so that learners can thrive, feel confident, and express who they are and what matters to them.
